Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and ArchiNetworks when you use this site. They are meant to be readable, so they are short. By creating an account you accept them.

Who can join

Membership is for architecture students, graduates and professionals in the United Kingdom, and for the practices that hire them. You must be at least 16. One account per person, in your own name — a profile is only useful to a practice if it is really you.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself and tell us at once if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend or close an account that is being used to impersonate someone, to harass members, or to scrape the network.

Your work stays yours

You own everything you upload — your drawings, your models, your writing, your CV. Nothing you put here becomes ours. By posting it you give us permission to store it and to show it to the members and verified practices who can see your profile, which is simply what makes the network work. That permission ends when you delete the work or close your account.

Only post work you are entitled to share. If a project was done in a practice or as part of a team, make sure you have permission and credit the others properly.

Roles and practices

Roles are posted by the practices themselves. We verify that a practice is real before it can post, but we do not write its listings, interview on its behalf, or vet the terms it offers — the practice is responsible for what it publishes and for how it treats applicants. If a listing looks wrong to you, tell us and we will look at it.

Practices must post genuine opportunities on lawful terms, including paying at least the National Minimum Wage where the law requires it. Unpaid roles that should be paid will be removed.

What ArchiNetworks does not promise

We are an introduction, not an employment agency. Nothing here is a promise of work, of an interview, or of a reply. We do not screen candidates for practices or practices for candidates beyond the verification described above, and any arrangement you reach with someone you met here is between the two of you.

Using the site properly

Do not scrape or bulk-download the network, try to reach data that is not yours, upload anything unlawful or someone else's work, send unsolicited advertising to members, or use what you find here to build a competing database. Members and practices are here to be met, not harvested.

Cost

ArchiNetworks is free for students and graduates and intends to stay that way. Practices post roles free while the network is growing. If that ever changes we will tell you before it affects you, and nothing you have already posted will be held to ransom.

Ending it

You can close your account whenever you like, from your settings, and your profile and work go with it. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will say why unless the law stops us.

If something goes wrong

We work to keep the site available and correct, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted or that everything a member or practice writes is accurate. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, for lost opportunities, or for what other users do. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud, and none of it affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
