About ArchiNetworks

Architecture is a strange and wonderful thing to study. You spend a night on a section nobody outside the studio will ever see. You learn to stand in a street, on a staircase, in a patch of light on a wall, and understand why it makes you feel the way it does.

We don't design boxes. We design the rooms people grow up in, the libraries they hide in, the stations where they say goodbye. A good space can change how someone lives, and sometimes how they see the world.

ArchiNetworks is where the people who make those spaces find each other. Students, graduates and architects show the work they're proud of, and learn from each other's. Ask the third-year whose drawings stopped you how they made them. Write to the architect whose building made you choose this course. Post the model you stayed up for. Someone here will know exactly what it took.

It's meant to feel less like a network and more like a family: people bonded by architecture and by the love of making places to live in. Show your work with pride, say hello to the people you admire, and help the ones a year or two behind you.

And when it's time to find work

Most students look for their first placement the same way. You make a list of practices, attach a PDF portfolio to an email, send it to an info@ address and wait. A lot of good work never gets opened.

Here your drawings sit on your profile, where practices actually look at them. Roles are posted by the practices themselves, and when you apply, your work goes with you.

We've only just opened, so there aren't many members or roles yet. The students who join now are the first ones practices will see.

What you can do here

Show your work
Upload drawings, models and renders as projects, at full size and never cropped. Mark group projects and say what you did on them. Add a PDF portfolio and your CV if you have them.
Share one link
Switch on your public portfolio link and paste it into any application, even ones that have nothing to do with ArchiNetworks.
Find placements and roles
Work experience, summer placements, internships, Part 1 and Part 2 posts and graduate roles, posted by UK practices themselves. The ones that suit your year and city come first.
Apply in one go
Send your CV and the projects you choose with a short note, and see where each application has got to.
Meet people
Connect with students at other schools and with architects in practice. Messages only open once you're connected.
Stay in control
Choose who can contact you, hide from practice searches, and block or report anyone. You can download or delete your data at any time.

For practices

Post roles for free, search for students and graduates by skill, software, year and city, and see each applicant's projects next to their CV. We check every practice by hand before it appears on the site.

Add your practice

How to join

  1. 1Sign up with your university email (one ending in .ac.uk). If you've graduated, or don't have one, sign up with any email and upload an enrolment letter, student card or degree certificate. We'll check it by hand.
  2. 2Enter the 6-digit code we email you, and choose a password.
  3. 3Add a photo and one project. That's enough for practices to find you, and you can fill in the rest as you go.

It's free for students and graduates.

More in questions and answers. Anything else, write to hello@archinetworks.com.
